Raising a glass to the creative industries at the 2018 UK Social Media Communications Awards!

Last night, the crowds gathered at The Montcalm to celebrate the very best in UK social media communications, and to celebrate the outstanding work of those in the creative, design, digital, marketing, advertising and PR industries. The Zero Degrees West team were in attendance to applaud our peers and stand alongside our clients at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to eagerly await the results.

Our debut on the UK Social Media Communications Awards shortlist was an honour in itself, as Zero Degrees West and Sony Home Entertainment occupied two slots in the Best Use of Social Media – Entertainment category. While we didn’t take the title home this year, we’re thrilled to have been multi-nominated against stiff competition.

Our social assets were just part of two integrated campaigns for Blade Runner 2049 and Baby Driver. Be sure to check out how we elevated the creative across OOH and print, too.

The stakes are higher than ever; with social media making up a quarter of the UK digital ad spend this year, the landscape is ever-evolving and highly-saturated – demanding that agencies and clients are working together to create stand-out campaigns that break through the noise. The UK Social Media Communcations Awards recognises just that, so congratulations to all of last night’s winners and nominees – we’re incredibly proud to be part of an industry that is always thriving and adapting.

It goes without saying that we’re thankful, as ever, to our fantastic clients at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for their continued support, and to our outstandingly talented teams for their passion, hard work and creativity.

We have been working with the Sony Pictures Home Entertainment team for a few years now, and they a great team to partner with. Their ambition, collaboration and creative adventurism allows us to push the boundaries on social media, digital and OOH campaigns and it’s always exciting for us when a new campaign arises. It’s a pleasure to have our combined efforts recognised by our peers, and we look forward to continuing this trend with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for years to come.
