Making a case for Cardinal on social

As the ice thaws on the first series of eOne TV’s acclaimed drama, Cardinal, series 2 promised something just as sinister. Our aim was to bring existing fans back into the fold after the harsh winter of series one, and solidify the show’s position as a genre-leading crime drama, which should be on everyone’s must-watch list.

We transported audiences with a campaign narrative, running across three strategy pillars.

As the seasons changed from winter in series one, to summer in series two, so did the look and feel of our content. Our icy Instagram albums gave existing fans a refresher of season one and built excitement for the next instalment.

As summer set in, our focus shifted to showcasing Cardinal’s stunning cinematography. We established the show’s pedigree with thumb-stopping critic review images.

Finally, we hinted at the gritty storylines with beautifully sinister character images – exciting fans for the return of the compelling detectives and the introduction of new suspects.

Ultimately, our assets for Cardinal S2, along with a range of other eOne TV titles, enabled eOne to increase their social engagement levels by over 5,500%.
