To promote Ricky Gervais’ hilarious satire David Brent: Life on the Road, our PR strategy was to recreate the farcical entertainment and awkward charm of the movie for the general public to enjoy through a range of live press events, and a complete calendar of engaging digital content.
Coverage included a Radio 1 Live Lounge performance with David Brent and Foregone Conclusion, a front cover and interview in The Sunday Times Magazine and a host of other distinguishable press placements.
The London Humanist Choir joined us to form our very own David Brent tribute choir. Appearing in St Pancras station, they caused a social media frenzy, including a special mention from Ricky himself.
Our digital strategy saw us tap into the iconic humour of the movie, filling it with outrageous yet sharable content, all tied together through relatable hashtags, helping drive the conversation throughout Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
