ODEON Cinemas Group needed help creating awareness and generating excitement for the release of ALITA: Battle Angel. They wanted assets that would work across their 13 European markets, driving audiences to book tickets as well as encourage them to upgrade to 3D for a truly captivating cinema experience.
Our mission was to create two fully localisable videos that pushed the action, introduced audiences to the amazing special effects (created specifically for 3D) and treated them to exclusive behind-the-scenes content – all championing the outstanding calibre of the title and getting posteriors on seats.
Using pre-filmed exclusive talent footage, we refined hours of supplied content, scripted and produced two powerful videos: one using influencer Connie Glynn to push ODEON’s exclusive preview screenings and the other using exclusive interviews to push the visual effects and ODEON’s RealD 3D offering. Each elevating ODEON’s ALITA release above its competitors and giving it the WOW factor.
Our pieces were rolled out across all 13 territories, helping it towards a UK opening box office return of $4.2 million with a massive 42% being from 3D shows.
